replacing the bose head unit

I just bought a kenwood 7' dvd head unit for my 00 intrigue it has the bose system in it now. I was told it is very hard to do by the installer guy, can anyone give my some insight?

No expert here but the crutchfield website says the two Kenwood units they sell fit when you search for 2000 intrigue. User reviews say alot of wiring but not too difficult. You might want to read them for a little more info.

It was easy,just get the wiring kit from Walmart or wherever,and the install kit.1 1/2 hour average start to finish.

I was told the that each of the front speakers has it own amp, and I can see the one in the trunk, isn't this going to interfer with the new unit?

No, I have the amp in mine and it just takes the strain off your head unit, because you don't have to crank it up past half way.

If this bothers you, you can go get a connector that goes in place of the amp and bypasses it.
There is only one amp!!(in trunk)
