83 GT Auto

I just looked at an 83 Celica GT, no power windows/locks (but I actually prefer it that way). So far everything is original, except for an after market steering wheel, some old school 15" black rims with a polished lip, a 2" drop, after market muffler, and this kill switch hood/trunk lock, it's a switch activated by a key that kills the motor and locks the hood and trunk, so even if the guy tries to hot wire the car it will only crank and won't start up. The car is in excelent condition, inside and out, paint is great, no rust, no cracks on the dash, just on the driver side front fender it has some dents, but no paint has came off. The car runs fairly smooth, the auto tranny still works pretty well and the O/D works as well. The side mirrors are motorized and still working (usually the linkage breaks on these cars, the electric motors run for ever, but the mirrors will stop moving). The guy was asking $1800 and I brought him down to $1550 (I know, it's not a lot, but I'm learning).
What do you guys think? I might grab it saturday, but we'll see.

don't remember the miles, but I don't think over 160K. It's a coupe not a lift back.

hehe, i guess it's just a difference of opinion, I've always though the lift back corollas were nicer than the coupes, but as for the celicas I found it the other way around, it just didn't seem to flow to me. The Celica Supra with the different front end flowed to me.
