Door Lock Switch Lights

Hello all. This is my first post. This is a great site! The problem I am having is that the door lock switched do not light up on my 1999 Suiburban old body style. THe power mirror switch lights up, but none of the dood or window switched on any of the doors light up. At first I thought that the bulbs were bad, but then again what are the chances of 5 or 6 bulbs going bad all atr once? I also have the infamous door lock problems and now my daytime running lights will not come on, even though the indicator says they are on. I am not sure if it matters or not, but the stereo does not light up either. Does anyone know how to fix this? Any help is greatly appreciated.
