Magnum WIP

Shaved the door handles.. and a couple body lines on the front and rear bumper.. I am thinking about making the hatch open in 2 pieces.. dont really know yet tho.. also a frenched licenes plate is also on my mine.. along with hood scoops.. color suggestions would be nice..

looking good...well...with those rims, maybe candy red or blue...

maybe shave down the side door strips while your at it as well

I would shave the body lines down the side of the car.. then it wouldent really be any better than the astro van.. to me they give it something that would look funny without

I say you put a light blue on top, and then a tannish color on the bottom. I personally think it would look sweet.

Going to hobbie town tomorrow.. we'll see what I come up with for paint.

Went to the store today and got some paint for it.. House Of Kolors Kandy Cobalt blue. But I have to wait to paint it.. since it has been raining the last 2 days and is going to for the next couple days..

Here is the rims I am going to use.. I took the spinners of the rims I had origionally on the magnum.. and found some DUB rims where the spinner fit in the rim so it does not spin anymore. and I took some styrene and painted it the color of the car.. the spinner fits in the rims so tight it will not come out anymore. ( still have to fill in the hole in the middle of the rim with something, and the color plate behind the rim, its supposed to look like that.. thats what I was going for. dont want it to be clear coated.. I like this look)

you should paint the center of the rim the same color as the car and paint the brake cover black to make the rim stand out more.

It is going into the paint booth today.. should be finished by later.. if not.. it will be like a week again.. only non rainy day for like 4 days.. and the rims.. they stand out really really well.. it was just the picture that I took

Alright Guys.. .JUST finished the color coat of the Kandies from House Of Kolors.. I am VERY VERY impressed with the outcome of this paint job ( take note, there is NO clearcoat Yet, And also take note that this was done with rattle can not airbrush ) I still ahve to get one more can of the color to get the color depth I am looking for...

very nice. the shaving was also a well done job. just don't do what some other people have done on this site such as drop the car down stairs or rush the job and then leave the car in a highly walked area were you knock the car over or something. cuz i really wanna see the outcome! but i know you, you don't rush jobs. so u gonna paint the rims or brake covers or leave 'em...

I think I was the one that droped the Impala down the steps LoL.. not this one tho.. the paint was too much money to be droping it.. the break covers are already painted.. I just have to add a couple more coats becsaue I ran out of paint.. the nearest walmart is about 40 minutes from me so its not always easy to get the paint.. and the fact that its about 12 dollars a can.
Glad some people are fallowing this.. TRUST ME THIS PROJECT WILL BE COMPLETED!!!!!!! Later I am going to post some rim options.. well more like 2..

The color is hot!!! Hurry up and finish it (but don't rush it). :sunglasse
