How do i take off my oil pan of my 96 3.8 bird? do i have to remove the exhaust too?

No need to remove any part of the exhaust but the engine needs to be lifted slightly.

removale of the oil pan i hate that. changed the one on my 91 and broke an exhaust bolt so had to take them out and put new ones in. Dont know if anything like mine either way good luck dont break nuttin but i do no that the engine will have to be lifted hope you dont have to remove exhaust.

ok, i've lifted and changed engines in older cars and trucks but those are nothing like the "cramming" under these hoods. How big of a deal is it to lift it up

Not a huge deal, just find two locations across from each other and hoist.
