speedometer question

ok guys im driing down the road and all of a sudden my speedometer quit working. So i go to advance and get the electronic speedometer unit which goes in my tranny. i put it in and still nothing. i take out the old dash and put a junk yard one in which looks better than mine and still nothing everything works but that and help please someone.

i had the same problem with my stratus when i had it. is it ony your speedometer or all of your guages (tac, gas, and temp, etc.)??? nothing worked with my car and if i left it a day without driving it, it would die. then i would jump the battery and everything would work again. soooooooooo i dont even know if that has anything to do with your car but just thought id share that little process i had to go through to get my shitty 01 crap stratus working again....DONT BUY A STRATUS:nono:

the speedo and oil are the only things which dont work the rest do.

follow wires back to the motor, heat probly melted one.

oh ya, and check fuses. both in car, and under the hood.

fuses under the hood for the speedometer?
