brake lights

I own a 1978 chevy pick up and both my brake lights are not working and the bulbs are fine. I was told there was a switch on the brake pedal that could be the problem, but I could not locate one. So I was wondering if anyone out there knows exactly where that might be or is it located elsewhere on the vehicle.
thanks chris

Chris, the switch is located on (in front of) the brake pedal. Most likely it's black and white plastic and looks like a push button. It should mount into a bracket that hangs down in front of the brake pedal arm. Follow the steel shaft up until you find something that hits agains it... you've found the switch :grinyes:

Hope that helps
