You won't gain much unless the engine has an extra demand for the air to justify using a bigger throttle body. As stock, you'll probably notice a big decrease in lower end torque with a slight increase in upper RPM. But the ultimate question is: Are you making any good power at the higher RPM? This is where the camshaft comes into play. The engine was designed for use in a truck, not for use on the track. Which means every little aspect was designed for a strong low end - long lasting engine. What you change in one place, almost everything else needs changed to get the most out of the modification.

IMO - You want more power? Change the rear-end ratio!
