favre's decision..

so i heard favre announced today he's coming back for one more season. hmm he used to be the god of the packers, now it's just sad. i thought everyone was just over-reacting last season when they were talking about how horrible he has gotten. then i watched a game and was like wow, he's just giving the other team the ball. i know not a lot of people here are from WI, but what do you all think? Was it a good idea for Favre to come back for one more beating on the field?

It's not him that got horrible it's the team that was around him. A Qbis only as good as the team that is around him. He just tried to hard. If he gets decent talent there this year look for them in the playoffs.

I think its a good idea. SO I can see my Chicago Bears smash him up again.

might be a bit diff this time
like i said it all depends on what kind of talen they put around him this year and considering he's coming back they must of gave him some good news for their plans for the team well see though

I thought I posted this but I guess I forgot. I was saying that I disagree with you. Reason is that its his fault that he throws the interception. It has nothing to do with his team. Brett Favre is known to take sacks and still make plays. Hes known to make throws off his back foot. Hes good under pressure but I haven't seen that from him last season. So what does his team has to do with him having bad aim and not executing plays like he should? IMO I think he lacked confidence because he was worried about his 1st stringer players injuries and didn't have enough confidence with the 2nd string and so on. Favre still has it in him and age is not a problem for him.

exactly he was trying to do to much with to little. the main thing i didn't like was they let go of their guards before the season last year and they were some of the best. If they don't find quality guards for this yr then you can expect a major bear fest with your team. That d is to good to have only so so guards against them. The main thing im interested in is ya'll got my boy manning jr as if your d wsn't good enough.

1. I agree with you. Thats probably what it was.

2. That was a wise choice by the Bears. We need someone with high calibur to replace Jerry Azumah. I was sad to see him go but his injuries aren't improving :(

i think it's a combination of things. his elbow just going to shit from playing so hard for so long. and that all the really good guys on the 1st string got hurt and were out the whole season.

and we will NEVER EVER EVER lose to the bears. cuz the bears just suck. shame on you for even thinking of such a preposterous idea :nono:

that is totally irrelevant.

I am but they need help guarding and you nowhere near big enough to do that
as well as at the receiver position

How is it irrelevant? You said, "we will NEVER EVER EVER lose to the bears"

I dont blame you. Here are my reasons ( dont know if you're from GB):Packers are Green Bay's pride and joy. I've been there many times to visit my friends. Its a very small city.I've been to the McDonalds thats colored Green and Yellow, PPL have there flags hanging out of there house and so on... Packers are the only thing that gets them goin, otherwise Green Bay is a ghost town.

I think its great for football that he stayed. Last yr he was doing it all himself, thats why his number were so bad. Most of his supporting cast were out injured. If he can get some talent around him, watch out. Packers could make the playoffs if everyone stays healthy. He's still a great football player, and he makes the players around him better.

yeah, this is why i'm defending The Pack like this duh. my dad has had season tickets right on the 50 yrd. line for most of his life at Lambeau. i've been on the list since i was born (since '88) and i have another 17,500 people in front of me. i'm due to get my season tickets between the ages of 50 and 150 years :( hopefully this is a year when a lot of people on the list die, since tickets can't be willed to the next generation. sounds morbid but i want my tickets dammit!

Don't feel bad. I hate the bucs but the one game i want to go to every year is when carolina comes down. Can't get tickets cuz there all sold out no sooner than when the schedule comes out. every year!!

Ya, does anyone remeber how many games they lost by 7 or less points? I think it was in the neighbor hood of 8 or something

Well yeah, the city owns the team. Not some hotshot in a suit.

There is no doubt about it that Favre was trying to do to much with hardly anything at all. Starting RB and WRs go down, whats left? A qb can only do so much with the little talent he was left with. If they can stay healthy and get some help from the D they are a legitimate threat to win the division. However i dont realistically see them there this yr.

Even though I dont like how the Mc Caskey's running the show sometimes but its still a family owned team...not some "hot shot."

Still a HUGE difference between a family and an entire city.

Eitherway it doesn't matter. Bears will own NFC North.

Green Bay's current O against Chicago's current D is like comparing Duke University's Football Team to Florida States. My body aches thinking of the beating they're going to receive. If I were Bret, I'd come down with "bronchitis" before he spends 4 long and painful quarters on his back looking up at dark blue jersey's taking turns using him for tackling practice!
