Alright, as some of you may know, my car blew a spark plug out of its threading, and now, i am in need of a heli coil job. I checked a few places out, and i got estimates from 100$ to 1200$ (the 1200$ was at the dealership) but what i want to know is that if i can do it my self. I drive a v6 corsica, and the blown plug is the first one from the left, in the back. Can i do somthing about this my self or what?

I have no idea idea how easy it is to access on that car but you might be able to, do you have the kit with the heli coils and installer ? If a shop is willing to do it for 100$ and guarantee it ... I would let them do it.

I have never done one, but if it's at the back of the engine I would leave it to a pro...you can pay me now, or pay me later!
