Please help me with this. I have a 1996 Rodeo and the battery wont charge. I have gone through two alternators in the past 3 months and it has a brand new battery also. The second time the alternator went out I had just turned on the A/C and then the voltmeter on the dash went to 8 volts and my charge like and all the other lights on the dash came on. I put in a new alternator and now it will not charge and I have had the new alternator tested two times and it still wont help. Now the A/C and the heater will not work and after looking at a wiring diagram one of the 4 wires that comes of the alternator goes to the charge light and to the A/C system. Any help would sure be nice.
Thanks, Dan

Isuzu's don't like aftermarket Alt.
Search here for like 100 posts on this.

Stop wasting your time with aftermarket Alt's - get yourself a Bosch "hot" alternator, about $200 or so, but it's worth it. Comes with a 2yr warranty as well.
My '97 Rodeo ate through 3 aftermarket alt's before I bought the Bosch, all within 1 summer. Make sure you have a good battery as well.
These Isuzu's are volt happy vehicles, if anything's weak, it'll get eaten.

Yes, I have the part# and I will get it for you. Bosch DOES indeed make one, I can show them if need be
I'm at work right now, don't have the paperwork here, but I'll post the part# when I get home. I *may* have at one time, posted it here on this site somewhere within the last month or so, I believe. But not everyone has time to keep searching old threads, I do understand that so I'll get it for ya both tonight.
You know we should make a sticky thread about how sensitive these trucks are to volts and choosing just any alternator so that hopefully we can spare owners the hassle of lost money/time on cheapies that don't hold.

I looked online for it, I can't find it either. Wonder if they stopped making it, I did buy mine almost 2yrs ago.
