Today I drive my car to school and it was running perfect. Still idled a little high but pulls like a sob at 15pounds. well while showing off I blew an ic pipe like usual, mostly because I got flusterated last nice since it took me 2 hours to put on 4 damn pipes and I didnt get that one very tight. Anyway I brought it into the shop and take a look and there is a big v grove in the middle of my timing belt that goes all the wat around it and it was almost to the cords so I got a new belt and replaced it(only took me 4 hours) get it all done, start it up and runs great again. rev it up a little and i noticed a puff of blue smoke but I didnt think much of it. I drive it about 30 miles to get home and pull in my drive way and get out and I can still smell burning oil and I look behind my car and there is a trail of oil behind it so I quick stop the turbotimer and pop the hood and look under the car and there is a pool of oil and my car was sitting for maybe 20 seconds. I pulled the dipstick and oil didnt even register so I poured in 2 quarts and it brought up to the low mark. Now I need to figure out why there is a bunch of oil leaking from the timing cover area. Think it could have anything to do with the oil pump, or what else in that area would leak that much oil? the car still ran good, didnt miss or anything.
Today was just a bad day I guess, not only did I fuck up my car somehow but my buddy blew him camaro and my other friend mess up his truck motor so I guess it just was a bad day to work on cars

Man that sucks. Sorry I cant contribute anything towards helping you figure out your problem, but man I hate that you have had so many problems with your car. Hope you get it all straightened out.

There is a lot of stuff that can go wrong with a timing belt job. Did you follow the vfaq instructions to the "t"?

Well this is about the 5th time I've done a timing belt on my car so I pretty much have it down by now. The leak is around the oil pan but the oil goes up as high as the top of the crank pulley and all the way back to the firewall and it leaked quite a bit of oil. is it possible that I pulled a bolt that goes into an oil passage? There isnt much else that I can think of that would all of the sudden cause a huge leak.

I got to looking today and after adding 2 quarts of oil yesterday I'm almost over full(last time I checked it, before this leak, I was almost the the bottom line and I checked the power steering fluid and it was well below the line. So I guess I have to check both things now.
