Control Arms hitting inner fender? HELP!!!

I searched and looked at other threads, but my case is different. My car is dropped about 1.75 -2" I have a finger gap in the front. Well my upper control arms are hitting the inner fender and has caused damage to the body (paint is chipping off in side the engine bay right next to the shock mounts). My car does have a camber kit and is aligned to very little negative camber. My question is, why are my control arms hitting? When the car is on the ground the control arms are angled very high up and the outer edge is actually hidden by the seam at the top of the wheel well. Should the control arms be angled this high up. It seems to me that there is no other way they could be since the fork they are attached to is a fixed length to the wheel.

How can I fix this problem.

hey man, I saw the other post. My question for you is, is there another way to get around this? Why am I having these problems and no one else with an Integra is?

does everyone else have a camber kit? i never had the problem until i had it aligned correctly. you could have it slammed and it wont hit because the more you lower it, its bringing the arm more inwards and up. the further you go back and up, the higher the well is, so its not going to hit. the problem is, when it comes to correcting camber... the more its lowered, the less it'll take to hit. think of it as an upside-down V, the higher you go up, the less room you have to work with.

to get around it you can bend out the frame, cut it as he stated, or keep the negative camber. but im assuming you have less room to work with since your car is alot smaller than mine.

I dont know how it works for an integra yet, but when you lower your car, it shoves your a-arm up into the fender well at an angle, but when you lower it and get your camber adjusted, it shoves it straight upward because when you adjust your camber, or put on a camber kit, all that does it push the a-arm further away from the chassis thus closer to the fender, and no, i have not found any other way around it, i was amazed that it even had to be done, maybe somewhere they have a magical operation, but i never found it, plus you dont need all THAT huge of a hole, plus if you fab in some plexi, it looks pretty good.

what kind of camber kit do you have, and what are your alignemnet specs and your shock and spring combos, along with what size rims and tires you use and the offset.
