Here's a heart warming story

This girl is 13 and is being allowed to play in her first LPGA tour tournament, but it's not because she's the most talented, it's because a company heard her families story and is giving her a chance to make her moms dream come true of seeing her play before it's to late.

Yeah it'd be kick ass if she made it all the way through.

it's a good story but it's still sad that she's going to lose her mother. i mean playing in the PGA at 13 is great but i think losing your mother outweighs the happiness.
and i dont think it'll be that bad if she finishes dead last, she'll just want to do her best, which is far from her compeitors best. nobody's expecting her to be competitive, just to give it her all.

Whether she finishes last or not doesn't matter to her or her mom. It's just the joy of her being able to play and her mom being able to see her doing what she loves to do. I think that was really generous of them to give her and her mom that chance.

"diagnosed as breast cancer... continued to work at Hooters"
Anyone find this mildly ironic?

Well since i'm not heartless i didn't find it amusing at all, i thought it was good that she didn't have to quite her job. i try not to think of irony in someones life when they're about to die.

Thats cold. I hope you get prostate cancer and have to work at allstate insurance. would you see the irony in that.

a quick little update. the daughter is 2 over par in the tournament and shot a birdie on her first hole. how a 13yr old girl is able to play with pros like Sorenstan while her mom only has a few months to live just boggles my mind. i hope her the best.

she plays that well because she's on steroids.
anyways, that's an awsome score i really hope she does well, seems to be good so far, hopefully she doesn't choke.

looks like someone's going to hell, and i don't mean the girl.
on a serious note i think it is moving. a while ago oever here a magazine heard about a girl with lukemia who's wish was to visit disneyland before she went, so they raised money to fund it. we need more people like those that donated.

HEY! Just because my dying wish would be to have sex with a Playmate or run a bus into Tom Cruise's house, doesn't mean I'm a weirdo or some foundation can say, "you can't do that, that's against the law."
