I'm putting an amp in my 2000 Monte Carlo LS and I was wondering where any of you that have systems routed your power wire through the firewall. I've looked a few times and can't find much. I'm thinkin I'll have to tear apart the dash and drill a hole but I just wanted some info.

my son has a 95 monte carlo... i dont' know if this can help you or not due to the year difference.. but we couldn't find a hole in the firewall, so we ran it up near the corner of the hood and down the inside of the fender to the hole for the wiring in the door itself..

Yeah woodman is right. Instead of drilling a hole in the firewall I hooked up a friends Intrepid and a Lumina just like that. I routed the wire through the rubber boot thats on the drivers side door when you open up your door you will see it. Then i just ran it on top of the fender and under the hood to the battery. Just make sure you hide the wires under the carpet by unscrewing the panels that hold the carpet down. Then just pull it through your back seat. It will take like 35 minutes with you and a friend, to do it.
SO GET TO WORK!
