99 silverado steering wheel??

I have a 99 silverado and the leather wrap is coming off. My first question is how do i remove the wheel and second will any wheel fit, like from a Yukon or tahoe?? I really want to get a wood grain wheel but i dont know if the newer wheels will fit.
