Hi,
I am now getting mad about the rear piece that works like bumper. Well, I think it is not an actual bumper, but you understand me, don't you? Right, I would like to know which material it is done with, so in which colour the interior side should be painted. I have read the body is done in composite materials, but I am pretty sure this specific piece is not made of carbon fiber.
The problem comes from several pics I have; in some of them it is black, as if it were painted in black or covered by a thin rubber plate (the brilliance is like black rubber, that is matt) but in a couple I have it is in a yellowish brown or more exactly, a fleshish shade. This could be kevlar, but the "bumper" seems to wear a flat colour; I cannot see the mesh of the kevlar.
Can anyone help me?
Thanks in advance.

OUt of the factory it came in yellowis/black pattern (kevlar).
Take a look at these photos, they cover pretty much everything you need to see on the F40 (thanks to David).

What Ales sed.
The majority of the F40 bodywork is kevlar- only the cockpit tub and some odds and ends (oil cooler brackets, etc) are CF. The oil cooler pods (rear bumper) should be kevlar, and the section in between should be silver foil, for heat shielding. I'm using SMS kevlar for mine, and I haven't had so much fun since doing my taxes. Those louvers under the oil coolers are a blast!! :grinyes:

Her are some pics of the F40's structure during the production line and a break up of what was what material. I hope you find them useful, they have helped me in my 1/12 project as far as its gone any way.
