The headlamp buzzer doesn't work on my civic. I can not find any reference to the location of the faulty components in my haynes manual

Could be the door sensor check for oxidation. Also check the fuse.

The sensor is based on the key being in the ignition. I'm not sure if this runs off of a fuse. I don't know how to locate where this buzzer is

I believe its called the door jam sensor. The warning buzz comes on when you open the drivers side door. Thats why I had suggested you check this as well as the fuse.

No, this is a sensor that let's you know if you've left the lights on

I kno dude its all related. Does your dome light come on when you open your door? I just advise you to check because this had been the fix for the same issue with another person with your car.

Thanks.
You're right. They should run off the same system.
I think it works, but I will check it tonight.
If it doesn't work, then it's probably a fuse, correct?

You were 100% on the money. The passenger side door would actuate the dome light, but not the driver's side. I knew then that the circuit was functioning correctly. I looked at the switch itself, which is removed with one bolt/screw. The wire housing had come unplugged from the switch. I was able to fish the wire through the exposed hole after pulling off the door column panel. At this point I noticed that the plunger had become detached when the wire became uncoupled. The plunger could just be about anywhere now. I will replace the switch with a $10.00 part from autozone.

I really appreciate the help, and I'm sure everyone else who reads this in the future will be grateful as well. This was not covered in the manual at all
I owe you a beer.
