98 continental trans

For a year been having problems with my trans.When i would be stopped
in drive it would lunge speratically.When i would drive and get into high R's
it would slip.Then just recently lost all gears.It would move for about a block
if i let it sit for a bit then nothing again.Thats were it as now.Is the tranny fried?There are no external leaks.

Sounds like it's out of fluid, or the Torque Converter is shot.
