why can the -bmw m3- gain so much hp with a turbo... and why cant the z do this?
the m3turbo is sooo fast... look it up on google videos....(m3 turbo).
its insane!! also: how can i take the restriction off the top speed on my z??
why can you only boost the turbo so little on the z?? :banghead: and why do all specs say that the 2004 350z is faster than the 2002, 2003 and 2005? is this true?

The Z can gain as much horsepower as the M3Turbo or even more. The restriction I am not sure how to take that off. Ask around in one of the performance shops. Most turbo appliacation says 8 psi, but you can put more for more horsepower. I believe Turbonetics turbo charger can boost much more but they just tested it at 8 psi. And when you say specs do you mean the specification sheet for the Zs? I do not believe the 2004 model is faster than the other models. If I am correct the newer models should have more horsepower, but I don't think they do I think they justs came out with better exterior peices like taillights and such.

but ive seen 750hp turbo m3's... and the z are always around 350 or 400hp...
how come you cant boost the z up to 20 or more psi?? like a subaru or an evo?? because since it is a 3.5L i wish i could get more hp out of it...

you can get more horsepower out of it. Its just that it needs more work. The bottom end probably has to be beefed up and so does the head probably. with that a pretty good turbo setup with intercooler with a good tune setup, you can get it that high. It just depends on how much work you want to put into it. If you are seriously interested in gaining that much horsepower talk to a turbo specialist and some tuners in your local performance shops (reliable shops) and they should be able ot tell you what you would need to have in order to gain that much horsepower or more on a Z33. Hope this helped.
