Marko inspired Supra, wip.

tamiya supra- big ass turbo off a semi, scratchbuild intake and exhaust manifold.

basically going to be a Marko 'inspired' car. 1500hp, but looks stock untill you pop the hood :grinyes:

it is great work buuuuuttttt i have a few bones to pick with you SIR.

First off doesnt matter if markos turbo came off a semi or not hes saving time on the model by taking the turbo from the semi and markos turbo is around that size and how it is placed in the engine bay is correct also, Markos turbo is pretty and that is as big if not bigger. Turbos on semis are capable of VERY high horsepower numbers.

yes he did make 1520rwhp and his turbo inlet is about the size of your face.

the title also says marko INSPIRED meaning his car gave him the thoughts to build this........

Josh is gone for the day seeing as im his supra informer....... Euro style headlights are silver US headlights are black background with the gunmetal the silver would look better but josh painted his black as seen in this pic.

97-98 US headlights are gunmetal, all the ones before are chrome. I prefer the gunmetal.:)

uh ok euro headlights are also chrome/silvery

ok so the 97-98 headlights are more like a metallic grey/gunmetal, and all before that are silver, but black is an option? im leaning more towards silver but i think metallic grey / gunmetal would look more detailed

druken, yea.. the gunmetal is polished

oh drunken monkey i tried polishing, but i made the mistake of sanding the body first so the polish went through the clear coat, fortunately i only did this to the hood, so i will have to reapaint that, if you wanna no more about it you can check my thread a couple spots down, i feel kind of rude talking about my model on someone elses thread so i wont talk about my thread no more

are you going for custom wheels or stock?black headloights look best on a dark colors Supra IMO, silver looks alright. Gunmetal looks great on a bright/light colored Supra.

The wheels will be stock, I'll have updated pics as soon as I finish the turbo inlet pipe.

the Turbo is off a Freightliner FLD120 Diecast (1/32nd scale) made by Testors, The kit can be found for as little as 12 dollars (what i got mine for). The turbo is very nicely molded IMO.

updates, the intake inlet is rather big and needs finished but it it looks good to me so I'm going to use it.

I also decided to make a exhaust dump, instead of running a full exhaust.

you might want to sand that bit of plastic off the front fenders then.

yea the front side markers are not present on the american version, its in the instruction booklet, however i asked alex kustov why he left his markers on a while back(he was building the amercan version) he said that he forgot to sand them off , but he said that he has seen american versions with side markers, very few though, i havent seen one yet
so i wouldnt sweat it with the side markers
