i was rewiring an amp to my stock rear speakers, because the rear speakers had gone out. the rear speakers were still not working. so i checked the fuses. later that night right before i go to the store i notice my left headlight is not working what the heck could it be. please help, first time car buyer and it was a lincoln ls i love her, but i really cant afford to continue to take my car to the shop to be maintained.

The two probably are not related, just coincidental. Try the high beams and see if both lights work on high. If so, pull the bulb and inspect the filaments. If one is obviously broken, then it was probably just the bulb's time. Replace it and you should be fine.
Is there another reason you suspect your rewiring is related to the headlight problem?

actually the reason i started checking the fuses is because the fire wire from the battery touched my amp, and it sparked. my lights worked fine after that. it was until i checked the fuses, that my light went out. both my high beam and fog lights work it is just the left low beam. i switched the bulbs and both lights are good. i would appreciate any more suggestions. is there a fuse that controls that light only?? im lost and i go to work at 6:30am. so i need my lights. thanks again.

That is odd. If the positive cable of the amplifier touched the grounded chassis of the amplifier, the fuse in the power cable should have blown. You did have a fuse on he power cable, right? Was the power cable one that was run by you, or a factory wire?
I'm on travel this week, so unfortunately I don't have all my service manuals with me to provide you with the wiring diagrams for the low beam headlights.

i ran my own wire from the + to the amp, but the fuse did not blow, when i was checking the fuses for the stereo i also took out the relays jsut to make sure they did not look burnt. my friend suggest i replace the relay since the right low beam works, which relay would i replace though? i appreciate any help.

I'd have to check my service manual next week when I return from business travel, but I would expect that there is a low beam relay and a high beam relay, but those relays would be common to both sides. I would be very surprised if each side had its own relay.
Maybe you should check for continuity between the low beam terminals of each headlight.
What size fuse are you using on the amp power wire? The general rule of thumb is 10 amps of fuse for every 100 Watts of output power.

I stand corrected. After looking at the wiring diagram for the headlights of a 2002 LS, there is a separate 10-amp fuse in the Central Junction Box (CJB) for each of the low beam and each of the high beam headlamp filaments (4 fuses). The fuses provide the battery power and the Forward Electronic Module (FEM) provides the switched ground for the filaments.
It appears the FEM will be located on the left hand (driver's side in the US) kick panel. There will be three connectors to it. The manual says the CJB is located in the RH footwell.
At the left headlight, the orange/green wire is the fused hot wire and the black/red wire is the ground wire when the low beam headlamps are on. At the FEM, the black/red wire in connector 201a, pin 8 is for the left low beam. There is a second black/red wire in pin 10 of the same connector, that wire is the ground for the right high beam.

thanks
thanks

All OEM cabin speakers are powered by the factory amplifier (integrated into the audio unit). The audio unit receives power from three fuses in the Central Junction Box, a 5A fuse that's hot when the key is in the start position and a 10A fuse that's hot with the key in Run or ACC, and a 20A fuse that's hot at all times. The 5A fuse supplies power to terminal 3 of connector 240c (gray/orange wire), the 10A goes to terminal 10 of 240c (yellow/green wire) and the 20A goes to terminal 9 of 240c (orange/black wire).
