what would be worth it in the streets? a 50 shot or a set of stage 1 cams maybe stage 2?

The most you'll get out of a set of stage 1 cams alone is 10-15 hp (and only with a good tune).

50 shot=50hp - which means more performance, but a lot of people don't like nitrous for other reasons.

considering this is a STREET RACING forum part. You are supposed to go to non specific. But id go with cams you dont have to pay for re-fills nitrous is exspensive now a days.:licka:

One question to ask yourself when you are considering N20 is: How often am I really going to use this? Sure, 50HP at the flip of a switch sounds intriguing, especially when you consider the low price, but I know way too many people who will get their N20 installed, use it one time, and let their bottle become nothing more than a big waste of truck space.

On the other hand if you are going to actually use it and you are sure it won't be a waste of time and money, then N20 is a great mod and the best performance bang for the buck.

ill use it alot...im not gonna hit it when im driving to work but i think i can put the 10 lb bottle to good use. Now should i get a dry shot or a wet shot. iv hurd that if i get a dry shot by the time it gets into the intake manifold its only gonna be like 30 hp. is that true or another 2 fast 2 furious statement?

I ran a dry set-up on my Mustang when I had it and never ran into any problems. I don't think it will really make that big of a difference. I would just go for the dry kit. My 100 shot of N20 on my Mustang gained me about 92 at the wheels with a tune. However it could all be different on a 4 cylinder Integra...

But seriously, if you're willing to put up with refills and don't want the extra power full time, get N20.

The refills aren't that bad. I would go about 7 1/4 runs before I needed a refill (10lb bottle). And that was with a 150 shot... The shop in my town sells it for $5/lb.

I'm failing to see why the prices would go up... Last I checked, Nitrogen was the most abundant gas in our atmosphere, and oxygen wasn't far behind....

It may be abundant in the atmoshpere but around here 15$ to fill a regular paintball tank with co2 nitrous is 15$ a pound. So yes nitrous aint cheap around here.

Maybye I'm missing something here but CO2 isnt nitrous. Nitrous is "N"......no?

no no no .... this is mars... everything is backwards...

:)

but anyway, nitrous sucks up your engine life worse than cams would

nitrous can be cheaply replinished, however once the cams are installed... they are there and don't have to be maintained

Well, what other engine mods do you have done to the Teg? I'm assuming you do own a GSR (judging by your name) and what year by chance? I'm hoping 94-00! I love em!

I'd go with the Stage 1 cams or Type R cams from the B18C5. As said earlier, nitrous could lead to an early death with your engine. And Cams on a B18C1 motor are the shit. I've heard them rip like a mofo!! It brings your engine to life, well, it is only a 4 banger ;).Plus VTEC hits a lot harder (not that it does anyway) and with an I/H/E upgrade, also pulley upgrade, you'll see quite the difference.

Sure nitrous is great for those good sprints. Although, you said you would be street racing, correct? I'm sure you'll be using that nitrous alot more often on the streets if you plan on it, then you would at the track. Overtime, it will become quite costly. Go with the cams. I'm sure you'll be more satisfied in the long run.

Cams ... you aren't going to be using nitrous when you are banging out turns and such.

Besides, you will see HUGE benefits of the cam when you finally strap aturbo kit on there :D
