At low speeds my car will jurk and I can feel lag. It is very annoying it has a hard time shifting out of first when this happens. Also at 50 mph and over if I give it more than half throttle it jerks and the car shakes a little bit.
When the car warms up after a few minutes the low mph lag and jurk goes away but the 50 mph jerking is still there.
What should I do to correct this lag and jurking? It should not be happening at all even if it only lasts for 10 - 20 minutes :banghead:
Engine type V6 3.8L 3800 Series 2

What year and model Regal?
For '97 and up it sound likes the torque convertor clutch (TCC) is locking/unlocking abnormally. You could get it scanned with a trans. capable scanner and see if any DTC error codes are stored.
How old are your spark plugs and ignition wires. A misfire not tripping the SES/CEL light can make the tranny look bad. Also, GM has a TSB out on the throttle position sensor (TPS) possible causing a similar problem. I believe it is called the chuggle or fish bite effect.

1996 Buick Regal Custom
Milage - 197,551 :smokin:
I noticed once it warmed up it did not do the jurking. Even though this is a relieve I still dont want it to be doing this at all. :shakehead
Any more suggestions that are more detailed?

The same principles are applicable to your model Regal. But that is certainly good news that the problems goes away when the engine is warmed up which means it is OK in closed loop ECU/PCM operation.
How old are your spark plugs and wires? Or when was the last time you did a basic tune up including fuel filter?

I do not know when they were last changed, but I will find out as soon as possible. It was my grandpa's and he knows more information about the spark plugs and cables.
