curious... i have been reading stuff on tb spacers and some say they actually hurt performance. does anyone have any dyno #'s instead of just what people think. i would like to hear all kinds of input though.

That's moronic. TB spacers can't hurt performance. What's it gonna do, make the air take .0762354 seconds longer to get to the manifold? :rolleyes:
The idea behind tb spacers though, is so you can get intake manifold spacers, and have it better isolated, because you should not bypass your throttle body coolant, as it is a source for useful heat (at least in cold climates).
There's no point in getting tb spacers by themselves. It's retarded.

Oh one more thing, it's a known fact that lengthening your intake tract can improve torque. Might be dependant upon the car, but as a rule, it's a good bolt on mod.

1) First and foremost, keep the manifold cool by isolating (RE: syn, "keeping it away from") heat.
My eg33 is fitted with Outlaw spacers and the manifold is pretty much cool to the touch after a hard run. The spacers are installed where oem gaskets go in front of the intake runners, because the piston block below the runners is a heat source.
At the other end of the manifold is the throttle body spacer. It keeps the mani isolated from the TB. The TB is another source of heat, albeit much lower heat levels, as the average TB has a coolant line running through it to insure cars in colder climates do not freeze open with ice and kill you as it hits WOT on a patch of ice. :rolleyes:
Anyways, being that bypassing the TB coolant/heater line is a popular mod for for cheapskates (yes, I did it before getting spacers), the spacer guys thought it would be a good idea to make a spacer for the TB so you can leave your TB coolant line hooked, and negate it has a heat source by using the spacer.
Now you should understand why getting TB spacer without a manifold spacer is utterly pointless, and why it has so little effect on performance. All it does it keep the manifold cooler.

Haha I almost forgot the second thing. They lengthen the intake tract slightly. Doesn't make much difference on your Honda, but on my torquey boxer 6 it adds maybe 5 down low because it can hold more pressure and what not. Not really important. I can sit a cool drink on my mani and be good.

what dude said LOL. heat tranfer to the intake manifold = bad. nuff said.
performance wise, every 10 degrees the intake charged is cooled you get 1% more hp. not much, but for all out racers every HP counts.
