that picture was taken a year ago, when it did look nice (it was kept in a grauge b4 i got it) but now new mexico weather just beat down that already fading paint job, and you dont see the hood in that picture, plus i think black will be a nice color.
i've been at school, my gf had a baby, umm my gf's mom hates me and got a restraining order on me, their making the whole family move tomarrow, ummm lets see, school still sucks.. i've been around :)

Oh.. well the only thing about black is what everybody tells you
But its worse.. I mean seriously.. just a spec of anything and its visible on the car.. just letting you know.. so if you're one of those that likes to keep it looking clean (Like me) you're going to be washing it often..

it's not that bad. the white car is much harder to keep looking clean than the RS ever was.

Black to me is harder. I have had both and the black always seems to show everything like even a layer of dust.

And in new mexico your gonna be dieing from heat in your car if its black. 18" will fit fine. the tire size would be like 275-30's and will be the original diameter.
rough times man....
your the sugar in the gas tank guy from a while ago right?

I think a 17" wheel looks best.

agreed. 17" are suppose to handle better too arent they? a little lighter too.

it will look pretty good.
Something to consider is the fact that the car will lose value when you change the color.

yea black is awsome on third gens. just keep ur a/c cause u will cook in the summer. if u do a color change, everytime u open the doors, hood, or hatch, u will see the original color (unless u are going all out with paint and pulling the engine and what not).

i saw this 3rd gen with some 18's she looked FINE!!! i'll see if i can get a link
how is 17's suppost to handle better than 18's, im just courous :)

this has been buggin me alllll night, which should i get first? my rims OR my paintjob? this is how i see it, im getting a 2000 loan, if i get the rims first it'll set me back 1200-1800 and if i get the paintjob it'll cost me (min)1600.
if i get my PJ first i'll have to be CAREFUL all the time to not scratch the paint.
so i was thinking get the rims first because all i could do is shine up my car prty good and it'll get thru till i pay a smaller loan, then by time i pay the rims off i can get the paintjob. i hope this made sence, its 6:30 and i had noo sleep.
so basicly, rims or paintjob which first?

Dude... go with either metallic silver or metallic champagne... I didn't wash my truck in like 2 years and almost noone noticed, and my wife washes her car like 1x a year and I can't tell either.
But if you're going black.... keep the a/c.

Yeah you think have sun fade issues now, wait til you have the most absorbant color possible on the car, Black. Now black 3rd gens look sexy as all hell on summer night with a good wax job, but during the day and it's hot, urrgh, dash cracks, hot, unholdable steering wheel and shifter, the plastic A posts dry out and rattle and piss you off, then you smack em and the retaining clips break off. Oh, and if you have a leather interior, bring a spatula for your nads and plan on not having alot of chicks with skirts or REAL shrots on with ya often.
Although, I went through all this with my first camaro, then i went out and searched for another one for 7 years, ain't I fucking bright?

I like the rims, nice choice:sunglasse
I think you should go with the paint first because you can give your rims a good cleaning and the car will still look to die for with the new paint job and those stock rims...then you can get the new rims a little later...
Think about it, when you see a beat up car that clearly needs a paint job, with new rims that look like a million bucks...what is the first thing that pops in your head? comeon, be honest:p
But on the other hand, if you see a car with a beautiful new paint job and clean stock rims, you would only have happy thoughts:rofl:
Are you a student? Im just asking because you could just get a student loan and you wouldnt have to pay it off till youve finished school...just a thought.
