battery light comes on when shifting

anybody know why the battery light would pop on for a second and then go out when my transmission shifts from 1st gear to 2nd ? it only does it once in a while but i drive 35 miles to work and id like to get the problem fixed before it leaves me stranded. its an automatic trans so i know the problem is electrical

Sounds like some electrical short inside the transmission on the 1-2 upshift.

it just started doing it yesterday on the interstate and only under heavy acceleration

i found the culprit to my problem. the connector on my alternator that runs to the battery broke off and was just hhanging there barely making contact. this is now the 2nd one i put on it and its pissin me off now.anyone know where i can find a connector thats made any better? preferably a steel one like from the factory but made better than that one?
