Bad fuel pump or bad gas

Guys:
Yesterday my gas gauge was at empty so i filled with 87 octane mobil gas. After driving about a mile, while standing at red light engine just stopped. I tried to start it few times but nothing happend. Althogh it cranked fine but seems it is not geting gas. Now this morning i went back and gave it a try and started the first time. But again driving for mile or so it just stopped and it has not stated since. Do belive i have bad fuel pump or gas which put was bad? Any ideas how to pin point the problem?

Could be a clogged fuel filter.

Two days back i put in bottle of dry gas and today it started fine and hasn't stalled. It looks like gas stations are mixing water the gas. But i will change fuel filter anyway since it has been 10k miles since last filter.
