2002 Malibu feels rough when cornering.

Has anyone felt this? It just feels like I am grinding something under the tires. I also have this loud humming/vibrating thing going on. When driving above 50 the whole car hums. Could it be bad wheel bearings? It only has 50,000 on it.

It could be the wheel bearings, when was the last time it was aligned. If you have ran over a big pot hole that could also be your problem

It's the front hub bearings. You have to buy the whole hub. They are around $110-$140 each if you get them from a non-dealer parts store. Try to figure out which side it is, but both sides take the exact same part so if you miss on your first try, you can swap out the other side.
Break the hub nut loose at the end of the axle. Jack up the car. Take off the tire, brake caliper (tie this up out of the way), and disk. Remove the 3 bolts holding the bearing/hub on (they are on the inside of the hub). Carefully push the axle out of the hub, you might need a bearing puller to get it started out. Disconnect the ABS sensor plug. Pull the hub off. To quote from every Haynes manual I've ever read, "Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure".

Hey thanks a lot. I guess $220 ain't that bad for an all in one deal. Any chance I can lube them bad boys up in the mean time? How about pressing the bearings out, any shims? Thanks.
