I own a 90 nissan hardbody with a 4 cylinder in it. I also have a v6 quest mini van. does anyone know if I can put the v6 quest engine into my truck. if so, what other parts do I need, maybe off the van or elsewhere? I'd hate to send the van to the junk yard if its possible I can use the motor.

the v6 will most likely fit. you have to get custom motor mounts, ecu and wiring, rwd transmission for the v6, tranny mounts, new driveline. maybe new diff.

Wow.
I have a '93 4cyl. etc. etc.
I too thought about swapping to a 6 cyl. when the day comes...
I'm sure you have already considered this, but I will suggest it anyway.
Sell the Quest (as parts vehicle if need be...) then, with your Quest money, buy a 90 - 94 (or even up to '97?) "running" Hardbody or Pathfinder 6-cyl. (2-wd or 4-wd, match your current truck, "my opinion")
You will most likely have everything you need... (IE: an ECU alone can cost $600. to $1,000. dollars.)
Remember '95 and up switched to OBD-2 so you will need all the peripherals.
(as opposed to your '90's OBD-1 peripherals)
Me, now-a-days, gas $ being what they are and my light hauling needs, I am looking for a '95- '97 with low miles (maybe ext cab) in better shape than my '93... and eventually, my '93 will become my doaner vehicle. (peripherals not withstanding... I may find a really nice '93 or '94 and get that instead.)
anyway... because you have an interesting idea, and what erick g pointed out... that's my .02
let us know what you do.
