Can anyone tell me if the lower ball joints for a 1990 Transport SE 3.1 will fit a 1992 Transport 3.8. GT.
I have a few parts for my 1990 Transport and would think the suspension / brake components be similar and fit the 1992 Transport GT.:smokin:

my local parts store lists 90-91 and 92-96 ball joints to be different. Price for newer joint is almost double compared to the older.
I hope this helps.....

That figures. I have obtained a lower ball joint , brand new in box for $10.00 on ebay. Says its for a 1992 Transport and its got a 19mm dia stud compared to a 15mm dia stud for the 1990 ball joint.
My 1992 Transport does not need a new ball joint but when it does at least I won't have to pay the UK GM dealer $175.00 he charged me for the last one. ( I was desperate) :smokin:

I'm going to replace left balljoint. Asked for the price from local parts store: 70 Euros (~84U$) :frown: Luckily I have relatives coming from Canada and I asked them to bring me one..... Hopefully cheaper

The GM Dealer in Manchester charges top $ prices then changes the $50 to £50.00, then adds outrageous postal and package charges. I now order from the USA, well in advance. Normal shipping time for parts is 5/6 days.
Even with shipping charges the parts are still less than half the UK GM dealer prices.
The last UK parts dealer tried to sell me an alternator for over $300.00 and then told me that UK Batteries were no good for american vehicles and tried to sell me a USA battery for $195.00.
The service from American parts people is outstanding, never once been let down.
