UDP ( ebay )

what do you guys think of this.. in the last post i made everyone was telling me to get a udp so i did a little bit of searching and came up with this

Brand name where? I would spend a little more IMO. You don't want too cheap. These things will break.

The pulley in the pictures will not fit the 420a motor, its for the 4g63. Megan racing does make some good quality stuff, but like every other company they also make some shitty parts.

I would spend the extra money on a good UDP. You dont want that breaking or falling apart.

Unorthodox UDP, it's spendy but good quality.

yea that is a bit pricey.. are the udp's larger or smaller than the oem one? b/c if i get one ill either have to get a bigger or smaller belt for it right? i just got outbid on a Obx one on ebay went for 102.50 :frown: .. ive been searching all over and i can only find places that sell em for the 4g63's .. are they that different that they won't work?

The pulleys are smaller and lighter, you will need to get new belts when you install the pulley. The 4g63 pulley is held on by 4 bolts, and both belt slots are the same size. The 420a pully is held on by 1 bolt and the rear belt slot(alternator) is larger.

I believe that a 420a UDP is a 420a UDP.... neon or eclipse.

I've been wresting with the same question, to get a eBay UDP or not. David has an bomz one, I think I will hit that up. Unorthodox is WAY to freakin expensive. $200 for a fuckin UDP? I dont think so.... :grinno:

Yeah, I got a Bomz one... I couldn't think of the company... watch, it was probably in my sig the whole time. lol... and it is!!

Seems hard to screw up a lot of things... but it's been done.

Most companies on ebay show the pics of the 420a as the 4g63 pulley. When you order, make sure its the 420a in the description and make sure you specify 420a when you send the payment. The one I bought from showed the wrong pulley, but I got the right one.
