Those aren't production vehicles I think, so it is hard to classify them as a sleeper since they are more concept car then anything. However yes, I have read about both of them, and they are incredibly fast, especially the 0-60 of the van.
I think the markIII supras are the best sleepers, its easy to get 500+rwhp out of the 7m-gte engine.

Anything can be a decent sleeper with the right badges (or de-badging...) ;)
Perfect example: M3 with 328 badges... :D

That 328 may have started out life as a 328. I know of and have seen of cases in Germany where people get shitty cars like 320 estates and replace the engines with M3 or M5 engines, so they have a rocket that looks like you're average family car. I have seen a video of an estate "320" beatin the crap out of an M5 round the Nurburgring.

Damn debadgers.
Some of them you can't hide by simply debadging, but most of the time it works.

yup can't debadge the new m3's tooo many things gives it away. you can always debage a mustang GT or a Z28. or a VR4.

i think you misunderstood what i meant. the people buy an estate 320 from BMW, then they just rip out the 2.0 engine and put in an M3 engine that they got from BMW spares department. So the 320 remains bog standard except for the engine, hence you cant tell the difference

I think a mid-engine Yugo would make a hell of a sleeper.

It will probably fall apart under it's own weight :silly2: .

chevy used to have some camaro package back in the 60s that was total sleeper... it had a big block in it with no badging, and even went so far as to have the v6 stock wheels.
i saw a mustang w/ a v8 and v6 wheels... threw me off...
anything with a turbo is a pretty good sleeper, until you hear the blowoff...
an s10 with a 350 makes a good sleeper... so would a built up crown vic police interceptor... (not with the light bar on it)

i would take the badging off my Z, but the exhaust would give it away, even at idle. my car also sits a bit lower than a V6
