1991 Voyager won't start

Here's the story:
:banghead: Had to jump my voyager. The jumper cords (I found out later) were poorly grounded. Think this developed a ground in my SBEC or my Coil. The car began missing and then stopped suddenly (presumably on the Auto shutdown relay trip). I went under the hood and saw a crack had developed on my ignition coil and melted plastic was oozing from it. Replaced the coil with a new one but the engine still won't start.
I also can no longer communicate with the computer. This is a no brainer that perhaps I need to replace the SBEC but I am doing a stupidity check to see if there is anything else I should check. Looking at the electrical schematics shows there is not much in between the coil and the computer.

Thanks for the assist. The site you sent me to put me on a whole different avenue to solve the problem. I had given up on the auto shutdown relay but took a close look at it at my electrical schematcics (which haynes really didn't do any justice for).
It wasn't the computer was fried but the fusable link in between the computer and the auto shutdown link was. A quick repair of the link and the car was up and running again.
