hey all, did a 600 mile trip last weekend after opening up the airbox with 3 1.5 inch holes in the side, also have a K&N filter, got 14.1 mpg on the trip, up from 12.8 mpg.
what's everyone else averaging?

Most of my driving is city and I'm getting about 13-13.5 mpg.

filter side of the airbox, by the seal clamp, 1.1/2 inch holes, positioned at 3,6, 9 o'clock, also removed the rubber joint between the airbox and the side of the fender well, this is a poor mans "cold" air intake mod

I have a 2004 Eddie Bauer with the old 2-valve 5.4L and I get @ 17.5 on the highway @ 70 mph, @ 14.6 around town unless I let it idle excessively, which drops it down to 13.6.
