Crate engine plugged up heater core! WTF?

Well, I thought things were going good on my engine swap... guess not. Last night I let it run for a while and poof, the passenger side floor was all full of coolant and the car was filled with white smoke. Today I cleaned it up a bit and pulled the heater core, and sure enough, it was plugged up with some kind of ceramic looking chips...????? I know the heater core was good before the engine swap. Any ideas as to what these chips of stuff are?

Does the motor still run fine? Thats very odd...Are the chips kinda chalky? Or are they metal?

More chalky... they look like ceramic, like from a toilet, LOL...
Still having some issues with the motor... seems like it is burning a lot of oil... dunno...

Check to see what your oil looks like. Could have something to do with your head gaskets. Is the motor leaking anything?

LMAO! So that's why they threw a crack pipe in the accessories bag... :evillol:
Just kidding. Thanks anyways though, it has me stumped too. The only thing I can think of that has ceramic or whatever in it is the cat. converter, but how would that break off and get in the cooling system...??!? Oh well. Hopefully a new core or maybe a really good flush on this one will do.
