Question about ethanol

I own a '03 Expo and I've heard a rumor that my Expo is equipped to use flex-fuel. I've checked my owners manual but can't find anything about this. Does this sound right? Just wondering....

What is the 8th vin number? Usually if the 8th number is a 2, it is a flex fuel. Not really sure on the Expy tho.
