my friend needs to clean his engine bay of his crx after getting into a little car accident.

he got battery acid on his intake and his head.

can you remove battery acid (doubt it) or cover it?

Just get a hose and some degreaser and spray that bitch down. But cover the intake up.

Baking soda mixed with water will neutralize battery acid. You can also get spray cans of stuff that will do it too and it turns red in contact with acid.

I recently cleaned my engine bay using the instructions found on this website:

www.1fastrex.com (go into the "detailing" section)

Came out REALLY nice... I'd never even seen the engine code stamped on the block before, it was so dirty. Took about 4 hours to do the first time (I'm a perfectionist), but only about half an hour every time after that (if you do it regularly).

Anyways, I had the same problem with the battery acid, just bought a can of that battery acid cleaner stuff, worked pretty well.

Coca-Cola works as well. Good luck getting rid of the battery acid if it etched the metal

Hahaha... I heard that somewhere! I think someone told me that the truck-drivers for Coca-Cola use it to clean the truck engines...
