I don't know if this has been done before but what is everyones dream amp. Mine would have to be a HiFonics Maximus...-drools- I was looking in PAS and seen an amp guide....5,000 watt rms at 2 channels or 10,000 watts rms bridged I think it's also like 2 ohms at 2 channels and 1 ohm when bridged. The only thing is...what sub would handle that?

You'll find alot of the guys on here the Hifonics xx maximus is their dream amp since it can produce so much power. Only problem is that amp needs an 800 amp inline fuse for each individual amp. As for what sub would be able to handle that power I've only really come across one that can handle that much it's the MTX Jackhammer 22" sub, it can handle a maximum of 12,000 watts I believe but the sub is like $7,500 and the amp is around $10,000.

You wouldn't use all that power for a daily use (sane people wouldn't anyway).
You can burp more than just the Jackhammer at that kind of wattage, plus, you can use multiple subs...

I like what i'm using right now. I have 2 Audiobahn High current amps 3000 wats rms x 1 at 1/4 ohm. Each pushing a 15" audiobahn linear compression sub (3000 watts rms). and each am is on audiobahn's 10 fared digital cap.

AUDIOBOMB. The jackhammer is a damn lost cause its just another marketing gimmick to get these rich as rap stars and other people to spend 4k on a damn sub. Id put that bitch to 2 15" mt's and put the boys at west coast customs to shame.

Do you guys only care about spl?
I can't believe that "dream amp" and "hifonics" could even be used in the same sentence. So what if it makes so much power? If you just care about spl, strap together 4 other amps and you can make more power for cheaper. It would most likely sound better and be more reliable as well...
Mine is a tossup
Brax X2400.2 or the Audison Thesis, among others

I dont even know what amp i would want id have to think for a long time, I was just putting the guys from west coast customs to shame. 8k watts and a 22" sub can only hit 139 in the car shit my system does that with 150watts and subs from 95'.
I still wouldnt know which one i would want.

Hell, I'd settle with a couple US Amps tube amps for a SQL (leaning heavily on SQ) setup I'd like to do in my truck...
