I have an 86 Ranger, 2.3 liter 4 cylinder, and i have been having trouble with me overheating. I have changed the thermostat, water pump, and have took the head off and got it pressure checked. The head checked good for warps and cracks. What else could be my problem? I have doubted the factory :banghead: radiator because its only like 1/2 inch thick. Im needing some imput BAD!

Overheating can be caused by a magnitude of issues - poor coolant circulation (water pump/clog), air in the system (leaky head gasket), defective thermostat, and defective fan. Also gunk between the radiator fins can also cause overheat because the water cannot be cooled sufficiently.

is it overheating sitting still or driving down the road? i would say radiator is only cooling part left to replace.
