driver's side (rear) what will a garage charge me to replace a rear wheel bearing? should i have both sides done at the same time? money, of course, is an issue. :-( i'm pretty handy with tools but dang, if it's not too pricey i will let a shop do the dirty work. please reply as i need to get the job done tomorrow, either myself or by the local pirates.

what's going on? Why do you think it needs to be replaced?

fairly loud rotating grinding sounds, most noticable as i come to a stop. i can grap the tire by hand and feel/hear sideways movement only at that wheel. what's it gonna cost me??

i have no idea of the rodeo's repair history, bought her last spring with 115,000 miles. i knew the rear brakes were due for service i just was hoping they would wait for nicer weather to do them myself. last summer i did the front pads and rotors for about $200.00 in parts.

A rear bearing (cartridge) is less than fifty bucks.
