Oil leaking out of speedometer sensor

hi all,
Just recently I noticed that the transmission oil is leaking out of the speedometer sensor. (95 honda civic LX)
I did notice the speedometer is not working steadily recently, however no plan to replace it since I can still read the speed by watching RPM.
Does this leak matter? Will it affect other parts (transimission losing oil)?
Thank you!

Eventually it will cause problems, like if all the tranny fluid leaks out. Most likely just need to replace the sensor or if there is a seal around it, may just need to be replaced.

The vss has an oring seal around it I'm pretty sure, just pop it out and replace the oring, probably less than $1.
