Just curious, how many people out there have the powertrain with 200,000+ miles on it. I purchased a 1996MY 4.0L with 54,000 miles and just curious to know how long it's going to last. I heard that that powertrain is great and have already heard of a lot of people getting 200k easily.

Do have a problem with your transmission; I.E. Sometimes when you shift from R to D. Does your transmission seem like its not in gear then when you press the gas, it slips in? Mine does that sometimes. what about you?

Sonny Boy's 94 Cherokee Sport has 145,149 miles on it.
Last time started: 1/2 hour ago.
Time it takes to start: 1 to 2 seconds.
Engine: burns no oil, power is excellent, runs very smooth, sounds healthy
Transmission: shifts correctly, shifts in and out of 4-wd smoothly.
Last time it was driven 70 mile per hour...1 day ago.
Amount of shimmy...zero.
Brakes: Smooth and efficient
Tires: Michelins...60% tread left.
Prognosis for drive train: I fully expect the body to fall off going down a gravel road before the engine gives out many years from now.
Good luck with your truck.
