by the end of the summer i will have around 6000 dollars. Maybe more. I want to buy a car that will be mostly for the track. Maybe driven once a week on the street. I wanted to get ideas on what u guys think i could do with that. Just throw ideas around, doesnt have to be a mustang. (altho it would be nice)

Get a nice fox body stang, run a forged bottom end, GT40 the top end, and throw a 150 shot of N2O on it.

Yeah a fox body would be good, do a H/C/I swap with gears, a couple bolt on's, DR's or slicks with a 125 or 150 shot and a tune. And of course all the supporting parts.

You can find fox bodies that are already built up for around 5k. Or is you wanna build it up yourself try to find a stockish fox body in good condition for around 2k and use the 4+k and build it up yourself. With my set up you would probaly run around low to mid 11's.

You can get 12's easy with $6k. Get some decent lower control arms, adjustable uppers, and an anti-roll bar. This will let you hook and launch straight. Of course there is more to it then that but those are the main parts. I got my rear suspension & Strange adjustable struts/shocks from Team Z. Great stuff, second to none. I'm not sure on how much nitrous a stock 5.0HO short block can take. If you run a stock short block I'd suggest you keep it to 100 shot max. Will you go carb or EFI? You can pick up Edelbrock RPM heads with the 1.90/1.60 heads for 5.0's on the corral for pretty cheap. For cost sake you may wanna keep the stock short block, get some decent heads & intake with a Holley 650dp and a Sniper nitrous kit. You would have to talk to some nitrous guys on the fuel system part, I'm not much of a nitrous guru. If you will only have $6k to play with you may have to buy a decent car, run stock heads ect and nitrous. With a carb you could tune it yourself, but a tune for the EFI would cost. Just have to decide what you wanna do for the top end and go from there. A proper fuel system and suspension are an absolute must if you wanna keep this thing running and putting the power to the ground.

thanx a lot 351, ur always very helpfull, ill have a long summer to think bout all that, im thinkin i wanna go EFI, im a younger guy, havent been around carbs a lot. maybe it would be a good time to start learning. and yeah, i know enuff to know i gotta work on the suspension first. first thing i'll wanna do is plant the power i already have down on the ground, and work on gettin all that extra power down too.
again... tahnx a lot, and i guess i'll hopefully post pictures, and update this by the end of the summer.
