Rear Glass Hatch Problems!?!

I have a '98 blazer, and my rear hatch will not open with my remote or dash button. You can hear it click at the relay but thats it. If I lock my doors for roughly 5min and unlock doors, glass hatch will pop open. Only way it will pop. Any ideas??

The lock mechanism needs some sort of oil. I use a cheap spray lube that you can get from Canadian tire for about $5.00
While you have the hatch open next time it'll probably be easy to pop the inside door panel off and then clean and lube all the moving parts inside.
