Insane Mod List!!!!!

Hey...this is my final mod list for my 96 clipse gst...
Any problems anyone can see or suggestions?

You will need to build the internals to handle that kind of power, the coilovers are way overkill unless you are a pro road course racer, you could get the same results for about half the price if you werent so insistant on certain brands, and I dont think you know what you are talking about on the intake deal. 4" air intake and 4" turbo intake? :wtf:

Wanta know the truth...When I first got my eclipse, my buddy told me he would race me for $10k. He has a heavily modded Z06.....plus ive been saving up for performance parts for my old RIP supra TT...So I have money for the mods. And I have a buddy who owns a DSM garage here in Montreal. Sorry man...but you gotta read my posts carefully...mod list...(to be) I dont have the 10k to give to him (ontop of the $$ going towards my mods)...but I dont plan on losing...trying to hit roughly 500-550hp for now...
This mod list is to be bought as soon as it is finalized.

Stock 2g pistons and rods will break just LOOKING at that turbo. Also, since your are FWD better plan on a damn good set of slicks and a LSD. A built tranny will probably be needed as well. Cams and SMIM are also very good ideas. You'll also want a metal head gasket and ARP head studs.

Do you realize that list is like 20 grand? Believe me homeboy, you could build the same car for a LOT less. A 3000gt caliper/Cobra rotor combo will cost you like/less than a quarter of the Rotora combo. Sportlines/AGX's will do you fine and only be like $500 compared to the many thousand dollar Tien coilovers. DC sports strut bars is completely rediculous, 90% of the price tag is for the name. Same with the other Greddy shit, other brands will do just as well for much less.

Just stop putting up this front. You do not have 20 grand to waste on these parts. If you really did, you'd realize how much more you could do for the same amount of money by avoiding this overpriced brand name kits.

You don't have 10 grand, but it sounds like your mods are going to cost that if you go by name brands. It's what everyone else has been saying. Why do you need name brands to make 500 hp? What is your budget?

have you ever seen me on here before? I have been posting questions about my mod list for about 9 months now....I stareted with nothing and you guys helped me build a list...All I wanted to know was if this list would work well together...thats all....we dont need someone to freak out and start yelling at people who they dont know anything about their last posts...

Every single time, people have told you that you could save a lot more money by using non-name brand products that still work just as good. This is called helping. You rejected the help so you can stick with brand names. Oh, may I ask why you're choosing brand names over other products that are much cheaper that work just as well if not better?

If u have all that money and were planning to put so many mods and horses into your car why wouldn't you at least start out with a GSX. Your slicks are going to have to be something fierce and your going to have to hook up before you race him. And do u really, really want to risk ten g's on one race... I mean lets just say you can beat him If you miss a shift or blow anything (Im guessing rods) your out ten g's 10 000$ TEN THOUSAND dollars.

I love this forum and have been a member since 2004...with my camero (which was a 2.8 until I did my mod list with you guys and built it to a 454 with TH350 tranny...(Mr. Luos, 89IROC&RS, KaotiKCamaro5 and more), my jeep cherokee sport...which i have fixed many problems with the help of GT Rider 0, g4bewatt, and many others...and now my eclipse...

Have you ever heard ofthe desmaris family (Other side of the chretien family)....they own sony music, BMG, POWER CORP (basically hydro quebec) and a lot more....that is the side of which my friend comes from...he is a great guy and all...but very lose with his money and very VERY confident with his over $80 000 car....I want to show him what a DSM can do...He laughed at me when i said id beat him with an eclipse....I used to have a GST back in the day and I loved it...so I didnt want to go with a GSX...I just bought my old car back from my friend...I loved my old GST and would die for her!

Then ask us about certain things. Don't put up a huge ass mod list and say, "What do you think?" You could get MILLIONS of replies because everyone has their own opinions. DSM's aren't like other cars, alot of the little parts you can make yourself with a little intelligence and creativity. I didn't mean for this to go into a flaming war, but you also have to understand where we come from with tons of people that just show their mod lists all the time and then leave, it gets real sickening. Alot of your questions could be easily answered by searching, or even looking at other peoples mod lists. And wording your posts so you don't look or sound like an idiot also will help too.

I told them about my origal mod list for my camero...with no name brands and they laughed....it was atleast 700hp but I got just about no sponsors...Gila films, brauplunk audio and thats all...
Then I made up a lie and reposted my application and siad I had all these name brands and I got about 13 sponsors (all full...no quasi crap)....

So what the hell is wrong with those people then?

My buddy has a 1995 mazda mx-3 with the KLZE motor...he signed up and got 5 initial sponsors...then he went to shows and got 4 more...then more.......all full except for one...he got whatever he wanted from: Fidanza, vertical doors, Flame Kitz, Street FX, Blaupukt (indash LCD free), Gila films, TsunamiRevPM, and some other ones....he went from a shit car when he bought it to a gorgeous showcar...without spending more than a few bucks on shipping from the companies....thats all...

But for some reason I have people wanting me to put their names on my car cause I make good power and my car looks decent doing it. Man you dont have to have name brand shit to get sponsors. Learn to make power and learn to drive and you'll get sponsors.

And were done with this. I dont care if he's telling the truth or not, what i got from this was is he tried to be civil about the whole thing, and most of you kept egging it on and giving him crap. And a little advice, dont ask for proof and then when he offers to give proof, give him shit about it, it's not in good taste.
