dim and daytime running lights not working

I have a 1996 1500 and my headlights are not working they work on high beam only no dim no drl. I have swapped the drl relay out with a known good one so I guess that is not it I have visually inspected the bulbs and they appear to be good. I have checked the fuses. Is there anything else that I should check before I spend 250+ on a dimmer switch. Help its dark
