cooling fan won't start

is there a way to check if the fan motor is good?

If you haven't done this yet.... on the right side of your engine (sitting in the car) at the front corner of the engine where the valve cover meets the block there is a switch with one wire running to it. if you ground that wire, the fan should turn on. If you have a manual it should show that as a fan switch I believe.
