I am saddened to say that I have never experienced getting into a car with lambo doors:frown:. I was wondering for those who have, are they practical and how much space is there to get in? Are they harder to get into? Also I have a 98 coupe and do the fenders have to be rolled and can I do it myself in a day? How much should the kit generally cost with the hinges and hydrolics? I know the saying you get what you pay for. thanks guys you are awesome

It is less practical, and larger people have had a tough time getting into mine. Im a relatively small guy 5'8 145, so its no biggy for me. On the MMS kit, the doors open about halfway straight out, then go up.
The fenders dont have to be rolled. Only modificatin to the current car required is that there is a piece of metal under the fenders that needs removing.
You can get them for $500 shipped in this Group Purchase on JBO:

Hope that helps!

I also bought the MMS kit and to be honest, I wish i never put them on and used the 500 for something else. They line up just like the normal door would but when you open the door, the shock is already pushing it up so the latch inside the side of the door gets hit by the bar on the frame that the latch latches onto and when you go to shut it the door just slams and bounces off, it's a pain in the ass. I called my local shop that specialize in lambo doors and such and i told them about it and they said they get alot of complaints about that and that i can't just open the door and push it such from a distance anymore, i have to open it the certain way and close it the certain way. So in conclusion, unless you find a kit that opens normally as well, like the MMS kit, that wont push the door up when opening, and you have atleast 2-3 straight days to work on it, (if you and people helping you dont have experience putting lambos on) or if you can afford to have it installed professionally, I wouldn't do it if you dont have these options.

How heavy are your shocks? They may be too heavy and are forcing the door up. I have the same kit and mine dont do that.
As far as the door lining up, it just takes some practice to learn how to close it. My girlfriend can do it now, so it cant be that hard.
You DONT need the kit installed professionally, thats money wasted. If you know what your doing (and its not that much to know), it is very simple to install and align.
As far as I know, the only other kit besides custom work is the Redrum kit, and I haven not heard good things about it. MMS is the cheapest you will find, the rest are $800, and youll see the exact same thing with the doors lining up, etc. However, these are easily the best investment I have made on my car. Its easily the biggest attention getter I own. Very fun to impress people.

It says on the shock that they are 750lbs test, also just for conversation within a couple weeks of having them installed, the passenger side shock already failed and I rarely open either door lambo style let alone the passenger side, but because of the year warrenty it's covered.

Yea i def wouldnt by a kit off ebay first off, cause the kit your gonna get is a knock off from some foreign company that uses cheap shocks, trust me i have replaced mine about 4 times so far. This is why Lances133 's shock failed cause it was one of the cheap kits that every1 buys. Im six foot n i dont have to much of hard time gettin in, but if i had the money i would go out n buy the Diablo Door Kit the door goes up 90 degrees unlike lambos, and from what i hear the shocks are of better quality. Check out redrumcustoms.com they have them for like $1200? And their pretty easy to install prolly like 6 hours of work for both doors.

500-1200 dollars for doors that everyone has? If I had that kind of money to spend i would get the new gullwing doors from gt factory. $999 + shipping to get a look that is still very unique. take a look and see.

when i have enough, i am buying it, in like 10 years the way things are going now
