Well I got the motor finished today, and I got to hear it run . Only real problem is that it is backfiring through the intake, which I believe is from having too much fuel. I went from a 305 to a 350 and changed the 19lb 305 injectors with some 24.9lb LT1 injectors that I got from Formula a while back. I still have the computer set for a stock 305. Are there any other causes of intake backfiring that could be possible? This is the first motor I have swapped, and I pretty much have been winging it. I am happy to hear it running anyways. I might post some videos once I get it back on the road.

Like what, too much adance, or too much retard? What I mean is, does it usually backfire with too much advence or too much retard one the timing?

i think your problem lies in the injectors at the moment. I think the highest you could go on a 305 was 22 lbs. I'm basing this on the assumtiion that the ECm is the '85 POS.

Well, I figured it out this morning. It turns out it was not getting enough fuel. I cranked up the fuel pressure, and wow what a difference. I even got it to idle on it's own. I am so happy that it is running!!! :evillol:
